UIC Scholarships

A college education is an investment and scholarships are a way to help make achieving your goals more affordable. Scholarship determinations are based on various criteria such as academic achievement, special interests, personal talents, leadership qualities, financial need, or a combination of these factors.

UIC SnAP is the internal scholarship information portal for the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC). If you are a current and/or continuing UIC student, you may log in using your UIC netid and password. The UIC SnAP portal will display a list of scholarships, based on a number of criteria, including major, financial aid status, etc.  Simply complete your General Application in UIC SnAP to get started (a new General Application must be submitted each academic year). It is important to note that the majority of UIC scholarship applications are available well in advance of the academic year for which the scholarship funding will be applied.

Continuing students who utilized UIC SnAP to apply for scholarships for the 2024-2025 academic year were notified by the College or Department providing the scholarship if they are selected as a recipient. Additionally, recipients have the scholarship(s) listed on their financial aid notification.

Continuing students may complete and submit a General Application on or after August 30, 2024.  General Applications submitted prior to August 30, 2024 have been archived and a new General Application must be submitted. Scholarship applications determining recipients of funding support for the 2025-2026 academic year will begin becoming available within the UIC SnAP portal during the fall 2024 semester.

The Graduate College has a dedicated office to assist UIC students at the advanced level of study. The office focuses on Assistantships, Fellowships and Scholarships for graduate students. We encourage both newly admitted and continuing graduate students to learn more details about funding support by clicking Graduate College Funding Overview.
